In the meantime, if you’d like to learn more about him, just keep reading below.
Ever since he can remember, Dr. Verner has had a strong interest in medicine and healthcare, but he was never quite sure what direction he wanted to go in, career-wise. While playing for Duquesne University back in 1987, he ended up fracturing his jaw and had to undergo several appointments with oral surgeons to correct the damage. Thankfully, this experience had a silver lining to it – it made him realize that he wanted to become a dentist, and all these years later, he’s still confident that it was the right choice.
After completing his undergraduate degree at Duquesne University, Dr. Verner completed his DMD at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He also earned his Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate at the same school the following year. Today, he still exceeds the continuing education requirements on a yearly basis and is always eager to learn about the latest clinical techniques and technologies in dentistry.
Dr. Verner is originally from the White Oak area, and he and his wife Michelle have four sons. Zach and Josh have both graduated from college, while Sam is currently in college and Jake is about to finish high school. Their family also has four dogs named Grace, Sebastian, Griffey, and Kya. When he isn’t busy working on teeth, he really enjoys watching his kids perform on their respective sports teams, seeing how bad he is at playing golf, and traveling.
Here’s an interesting fact about Dr. Verner: he’s actually ambidextrous, which means he can perform dental procedures with both hands!
